The LSU Baseball team has finished their regular season schedule with an SEC series win against 14th ranked Ole Miss. LSU won two of three from the Rebels at Alex Box on a weekend that saw the field at Alex box Stadium renamed for Skip Bertman.  Up next for the Tigers... the SEC tournament!

LSU has finished their incredible 2013 regular season ranked 2nd nationally.  They've achieved the best regular season record in school history with a mark of 48-8.  The Tigers have won the SEC Western Division Title and won 23 of 30 SEC games, the best league mark in school history.  Alex Box Stadium set an attendance record for the season with over 413,500 of the Tiger faithful coming to a game.  On Friday, LSU had a ceremony naming the diamond "Skip Bertman Field" at Alex Box Stadium in honor the legendary baseball coach and former Athletic Director.  Bossier native Todd Walker spoke at the event which also commemorated LSU's 1993 national championship team.

LSU won Game 2 on Friday (Skip Bertman night) with a dramatic come from behind victory on an 8th inning home run by Senior Raph Rhymes.

Ole Miss won Game 3 on Saturday (Senior night.)  Seniors Raph Rhymes and Mason Katz made a cameo at the beginning of the game, but LSU sat all starters for this game.  It was a back and forth game that Ole Miss eventually won 11-9.
