LSU Wins Marathon Game Over Florida at SEC Tourney
Jordan Romero knocked home the go-ahead run with a pinch-hit single in the 14th inning as LSU beat Florida 5-3 in a Southeastern Conference Tournament marathon that ended early Thursday morning. The game lasted just over 5 hours, making it the longest game in SEC Tournament history in terms of time.
The game didn't end until close to 1:30 Thursday morning.
LSU (41-17) next takes on Mississippi State (41-14-1), which beat Alabama 4-1 on Wednesday. Florida (44-12) faces Alabama (32-25) in an elimination game.
