In short, it was a bad week for the LSU Tigers, but a great week for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs who continue their historic climb this season.

The questions that come from these rankings: Should LSU have dropped to a lower ranking? Should Louisiana Tech be higher?

After crushing the University of Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners 51-27 on Saturday afternoon, the Bulldogs add another notch in the belt, getting their 8th win of the season.

The Dawgs' Colby Cameron threw for 348 yards, and his trusty receiver Kenneth Dixon scored three touchdowns. With another stellar 300 yard game, Cameron ties legendary Bulldog Terry Bradshaw for the fourth most passing yards in school history.

With the win, Tech increases their record to 8-1, and 3-0 in Western Athletic Conference action.

It was a different story in Baton Rouge, as the Tigers fell to the Crimson Tide late in the 4th quarter with :59 remaining.

Because of the loss, LSU drops to 9th in both the Coaches and Associated Press poll.

Just in case you wanted to know, with the victory, the Alabama Crimson Tide now have the #1 ranking in the country.
