After an injury scare in preseason practices, LSU star running back Leonard Fournette is ready to kick off the 2016 season with his Tiger teammates this Saturday. The team will travel to Green Bay, Wi to take on Wisconsin at historic Lambeau Field.

Here's more on Fournette's prospects for the season, according to the Louisiana Radio Network:

"LSU running back Leonard Fournette says he’s ready to go for Saturday’s season opener against Wisconsin. Fournette enters the season 13 rushing yards shy of reaching three-thousand for his career. He will likely become the fastest player in school history to three-thousand rushing yards. Fournette is set to play in his 26th collegiate game and Head Coach Les Miles says that kind of experience should benefit him well.

Miles also says tackle Maea Teuhema is also healthy after suffering a sprained ankle earlier in the camp. He’s listed on the depth chart as the back-up at both left and right tackle."

Saturday's game, as well as EVERY LSU Football game this season, can be heard in the Shreveport and Bossier are on 1130AM The Tiger. Pre-game for Saturday starts at 12:30pm, and kickoff is set for 2:30pm.
