OK, we've been waiting for this LSU Baseball team to show up since before the season started.

LSU was slated to be one of the best teams in the country, not just the SEC this year, but things haven't worked out that way. The team has been hot-and-cold, sweeping SEC series that you wouldn't expect, and losing mid-week games they should win.

But it looked like the team hit a stride this weekend. Here's more from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Michael Papierski’s two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning was the difference as the LSU Tigers defeated Auburn five to three to win the series. LSU had a 3-0 lead, but Auburn tied it by scoring one run in the 6th inning and two more in the 7th inning and then Papierski hit the two run shot to win the game.

Zach Watson also hit a two-run homer for the Tigers and Zach Hess was the winning pitcher, while Hunter Newman earned his 8th save. LsU goes for the sweep this afternoon at noon. They remain a half-game back of Florida and Mississippi State for the overall in the SEC."
