When LSU opens the NCAA Tournament this weekend, they're going to go full force with their best pitcher taking the mound right away. Here are the details from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Junior left-hander Jared Poche will start on the mound tomorrow when the LSU Tigers begin play in the Baton Rouge Regional against Utah Valley. Poche is 7-4 on the year with a 3.61 ERA. Utah Valley brings a seven-game winning streak into the regional and they’ve won 11 of their last 13."

Now the biggest question won't have anything to do with the starting pitching, or ANY of the players on the field. Mother Nature will have the biggest impact on the game. The forecast is full of rain for the weekend, with some days looking at an 80% chance of rain, or better.

First pitch for LSU's first game is currently scheduled for 2pm Friday, and all of LSU's NCAA games will be heard in the Shreveport and Bossier area on 1130AM...no matter when the game is delayed to.
