In addition to hiring Kevin Steele as the new defensive coordinator at LSU, the Tigers have hired former Ole Miss coach and Louisiana native Ed Orgeron to the coaching staff.

Orgeron will be the defensive line coach replacing Brick Haley who reportedly is being offered a non-coaching position in the program.

Orgeron last coached at USC where he served as interim head coach after Lane Kiffin was fired.  He is known to be a savvy recruiter in college football circles.

LSU will officially introduce Steele and Orgeron in a press conference today at 4pm.
