The LSU Tigers (17-10, 8-7 SEC) broke out of the fourth place tie in the SEC West with a much needed win over Texas A&M, 68-49.

Freshman Jarrell Martin tied his season best by scoring 20 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field. In the second half, he was 4-for-4 shooting.

Johnny O' Bryant scored 15 points and had nine rebounds. O' Bryant was just one rebound away from having his eighth double-double of the season.

Senior Andre Stringer scored 11 points and moves to 26th on LSU's all-time scoring list.

Calling Wednesday's win a "must win" is an understatement for the LSU Tigers and Johnny Jones is well aware.

According to ESPN's Joe Lunardi, LSU must win their remaining three games and at least advance to the SEC Championship game.

The uphill battle will begin Saturday in Gainesville against the Gators.
