The LSU Tigers baseball team wins their 11th SEC Championship, following a 2-0 victory over the Florida Gators on Sunday afternoon.

Senior designated hitter Sean McMullen was the hero in Sunday's SEC Championship Game.

McMullen belted a two run homer in the top of the 8th inning, to leave LSU a 2-0 lead.

Relief pitcher Kurt McCune was able to hold onto the lead. McCune would earn the save.

The win would be given to Zac Person (3-1). Person struck out one batter in the 7th inning, his only inning of work.

With the victory Paul Maineri and company will host a NCAA Regional at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

The tournament title was LSU’s second in a row, and its fifth in the past seven years.

The Tigers will find out who they will play, when the entire 64-team bracket is released Monday, May 26 at 11 a.m. CST.
