The #8 LSU Tigers went into Sunday with a chance to sweep the number 24 Arkansas Razorbacks, finish an eight game home-stand without a loss, and climb to the top of the SEC Standings, but couldn’t come away with a win… losing 10-4 to the Hogs.

Still, LSU won their second consecutive SEC series since being swept by Florida in March.

The Tigers are only 1.5 games behind Alabama for the overall SEC lead, with half the league schedule remaining.

On Friday, Aaron Nola struck out 13 in seven innings and LSU went on to take Game 1 by a score of 5-3.

The Tigers collected a walk-off win on Saturday when Mark Laird singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth to secure a 5-4 victory.

LSU got pounced on Sunday when the Razorbacks scored four runs in the first off of Tiger starter Kyle Bouman.  Arkansas went on to win 10-4.

LSU gets back into action Tuesday against Southern Mississippi in the Wally Pontiff Classic in Metarie. First pitch Tuesday at 7pm, you’ll hear pregame coverage starting at 6:30, on 1130 the Tiger.
