That Matt Canada investment is already paying off for LSU Football.

According to reports, Canada acted as closer on one of their top priority recruits. Here are more details from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Edna Karr wide receiver Racey McMath has given his verbal pledge to the LSU Tigers. The six-foot-three, 215 pounder is the 20th commitment in the Tigers 2017 class. McMath caught 16 touchdown passes for the Class Four-A state champion Cougars this past season."

McMath had offers from more than a dozen other schools, including Louisiana Tech, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State. He canceled "official visits" to A&M and Mississippi State after he made his commitment to LSU.

He is the third wide receiver recruit in this class, and was a top priority as one of the top 3-star recruits inside Louisiana.
