The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team grabbed a signature win Saturday night in a massive Conference USA tilt.

Head Coach Skip Holtz and the Bulldogs had a huge road win on Saturday as the Bulldogs went into Denton, Texas and defeated North Texas 29-27.

But it wasn't easy...or anything that even looked easy. It was a hard fought, come from behind victory on the road that won't be forgotten soon. After falling behind 21-6 after one quarter, Tech scored 20 points in the second quarter to take a 26-21 lead and ended up winning 29-27.

NFL prospect Jaylon Ferguson was one of the stars of the game for the Bulldogs, with four quarterback sacks on the night.

North Texas came into the game 4-0, with a big win on their resume after they knocked off the SEC's Arkansas, in Arkansas. North Texas had scored over 44 points in every game this season, until Saturday night.

Tech came into Saturday night's game 2-1, after losing to the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge, in a very hard fought game.

Bulldog quarterback J'Mar Smith ended up with 230 yards in the air, and 2 touchdowns against North Texas. The performance put Smith over 1,000 yards in the air for the season.

Next up for Tech is a home game against UAB on October 6th.
