It hasn't been the easiest season for Louisiana Tech quarterback Ryan Higgins. He started the season serving punishment for an off-season arrest. After he atoned for his mistake, he proceeded to have one of the best years under-center Ruston has ever seen. Racking up weekly awards all year, and leading his team to multiple victories.

Now Higgins, along with teammate Carlos Henderson and Coach Skip Holtz, have cleaned up in postseason awards from Conference USA. Here's more from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Postseason awards were handed out by Conference USA today and Louisiana Tech quarterback Ryan Higgins was named Most Valuable Player, Carlos Henderson was awarded the offensive and special teams player of the year awards and Skip Holtz was named Coach of the Year."
