Louisiana Tech Football fans have been waiting for this day since December of last year, the first Saturday of their college football season.

Tonight at 6pm, Louisiana Tech will begin the 2018 campaign in Mobile as they’ll visit South Alabama. Where the Jaguars will be breaking in new head coach Steve Campbell.

The Bulldogs have won a bowl game the last four years, but Coach Skip Holtz says his seniors are hungry for achieving a bigger goal and that’s a Conference USA Championship. Something that has eluded Holtz since he joined the Bulldogs in 2013. But Holtz has seen plenty of other successes in Ruston.

Since joining the Bulldogs program, Holtz has sent multiple players into the NFL Draft, won multiple bowl games, and delivered winning seasons in 4 out of his 5 seasons.

This year's Bulldogs squad doesn't carry the hype as some previous squads had, but isn't going to be a doormat either. Holtz will have a better-than-average shot at continuing the Louisiana Tech "bowl winning" streak
