Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football team will battle Appalachian State this Saturday at 11am in Boone, North Carolina for the Sun Belt Conference Championship.

The inaugural Sun Belt title game winner will then head to the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at 8:00pm on December 15th, as the conference announced 10 days ago.

Today, the Sun Belt announced the loser of Saturday's contest will also play on December 15th in the Auto Nation Cure Bowl in Orlando. Kickoff in that one is set for 12:30pm.

The Cure Bowl matches a team from the Sun Belt versus a team from the American Athletic Conference.

“We are always excited to have a representative from the Sun Belt Conference in the AutoNation Cure Bowl and we look forward to hosting a team that played in the Conference Championship Game this year,” said Cure bowl Executive Director Alan Gooch in a press release.  “The Sun Belt is a strong football conference with excellent programs and the guarantee of having a Division Champion in our game this year is tremendous.”

Louisiana's last appeared in a bowl game 2 years ago. The Cajuns fell to Southern Miss in the New Orleans Bowl 28-21.
