Caddo deputies have arrested a Vivian man for allegedly operating a meth lab in his home on Highway 1 North.

Deputies were dispatched to a mobile home just before midnight after getting a call about suspicious activity. Deputies noticed a chemical odor when the man came to the door. The homeowner who lives in another home on the property gave the deputies the ok to search the home.  Inside the trailer, the deputies found drug paraphernalia, a large amount of suspected meth, and two labs, one which was active.

The Shreveport Fire Bomb Squad and the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force responded for the clean-up.

46-year-old Vince Alexander was arrested for operation of a clandestine lab, possession of drug paraphernalia, and distribution of drugs.
