Lionel Richie’s ‘Tuskegee’ Album Is No. 1

Lionel Richie‘s country duets album ‘Tuskegee‘, has debuted at No. 1 this week on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

As a tribute to his southern upbringing in Tuskegee, AL, music icon Lionel Richie created Tuskegee, a collection of hits recorded with some of the biggest names in country music.

His duet partners include Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Billy Currington and Little Big Town.

Richie is also joined by superstars Shania Twain, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffett.

It's a 13-track collection of duets with Richie and some of the biggest names in country music .

According to the Tennessean, the album has sold 198,892 copies, which also puts Lionel Richie at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200, just behind Madonna.
