KWKH invites you to come out for the last Operation Santa Claus remote, which is this morning from 7-9 am at the Joint Chiropractic Place on Youree Drive in Shreveport.  We desperately need your help to make this a Merry Christmas for local disadvantaged children who live here in Shreveport Bossier.

After yesterday's remote at the Brookshires in Haughton we still need to provide for some 550 kids,  who won't have Christmas unless Operation Santa Claus intervenes.

That's where you come in.  We need new toys - scooters, wagons,  art sets,  WWE wrestling figures, basketballs, footballs,  Elmos, Hello Kiddies, Lightning McQueen, bicycles,  remote control cars with rechargeable batteries, almost anything for ages  infant to 12 years.

And cash donations would be greatly appreciated.  If you are a "J.R. Ewing" or a "Jed Clampett," who has $2,000 in the bank and can donate it, write that check.  It's a  tax write off.   Or if you can only give $5, we'll take that, too.

Jeff Williams, fire inspector for Shreveport Fire Department, says we have a record number of children who are needy this year and we are only about half-way there.

Shreveport Police, Fire and Bossier Sheriff's Department and all six Townsquare Media radio stations will be looking for you at The Joint Chiropractic Place on Youree Drive in Shreveport this morning.

Thanks to those of you who have already donated.  We've gotten some really cool toys and money to buy toys, but this is our last remote and we're behind.

If you can't come to our remote this morning, you can sponsor a child for Christmas by calling the Operation Santa Claus number at 687-GIFT, that's 687-4438.  You can even donate online by going to the Operation Santa Claus website at  http://osccaddobossier.com/

And,  if you miss this morning's remote you can drop off your toy donations at the KWKH studios at 6341 Westport Ave.  in Shreveport at the Townsquare Media building.
