I could spend an hour or more breaking down and analyzing the phenomenon known as Roman Reigns. Vince McMahon loves him, the fans hate him. Why? I don't know. Seriously, the guy is one of the most gifted performers in the WWE. Does he have some rough spots? Sure. Can he cut a 5 star promo? No...but he is getting better. While he's not my favorite wrestler to ever come along, he certainly doesn't deserve the amount of hate fans across the globe pour on him.

In fact, I'm not the only one who feels that way. New WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Kurt Angle recently shared similar feelings about Roman. During a recent apperance on the 'Busted Open Radio' podcast, Kurt had this to say:

Yeah that poor kid, he got the short end of the stick. When it comes down to it, it’s really not his fault. I’m not discrediting the WWE, I think they’ve done a fabulous job of pushing this kid. But I think the fans like to see going through the ringer. US Title, Intercontinental Title, King Of The Ring, then the WWE Title. I think Roman kind of stepped up there right away and became the main eventer, main evented Wrestlemania literally a year after The Shield broke up. I think it was partly that, but you can’t deny his talent. The kid is great in the ring.

Maybe Roman will finally go over with the crowd when he potentially squares off against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Taker has made a career of making folks famous and putting them over with the crowd. There is just something about trading haymakers with the Deadman that makes a man more respectable.
