The 11th KCS Annual Holiday Express train is bringing Santa Claus and his elves to visit 25 communities on 27 dates in seven states throughout The Kansas City Southern Railway Company service territory, including Shreveport, Louisiana.

Admission is free and open to the public, no tickets are required.

Bring the kids to Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport on December 5th at 4PM. They plan to keep the train open as long as there are visitors in line and depending on the crowd size and weather.

The children will love it because the Holiday Express train includes a smiling tank car “Rudy”; a flatcar carrying Santa’s sleigh, reindeer and a miniature village; a ginger bread boxcar; the elves’ workshop; the reindeer stable; and a little red caboose.

In the caboose, visitors can visit with Santa Claus. After walking through two more cars filled with displays, children will receive a free gift bag.

The Holiday Express was created in 2001 after volunteers dedicated over 8,000 hours to the rigorous transformation of the retired rail cars. Festive music and lights complete the package.
