Jrue Holiday Returns To The New Orleans Pelicans

It has been an emotional year for New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday.

Jrue's wife, former gold medalist for Team US soccer player Lauren Cheney, was diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier this year. To complicate the issues, Cheney was pregnant with the couples first child. She gave birth in September, and had the tumor removed in October.

Jrue took time off from his NBA career to take care of his wife and new child during this time. But last night, Jrue made his return to the Pelicans, here's more from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Jrue Holiday played his first game of the season last night and scored 21 points as the Pelicans defeated Portland 113 to 101. Anthony Davis was also outstanding, 38 points, nine rebounds and four blocks."
