John Cena Once Again Proves He Is The Best in Wrestling Today
If I were creating a Mount Rushmore of Professional Wrestling, the faces on the mountain would be John Cena, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Now, I know that a lot of people would argue about my choices but if you really look at things, those 4 guys have done more for the business than anyone else to ever try their hand at it.
And I'd be willing to guess that the one guy most people would argue against is John Cena. For some reason, people hate the guy. You'll hear the argument that he buries talent, he's too kid oriented, etc, etc, etc.. But, if you REALLY look at Cena's career, there is a reason he's been a top guy for 10 years plus.
He's had the best feuds in recent history (CM Punk, AJ Styles, Rusev just to name a few), he has one of the best promos in the history of the business and if you can keep up with the guy, he can turn you into a superstar. And I'm not even talking about all the amazing work he does with charities and stuff outside the ring.
Last night Cena proved his abilities and cemented his legacy as one of the best. He went toe to toe with Roman Reigns, the one guy that is probably more hated than Cena. And despite the internet fans crying that this feud was horrible and nobody wants to see, Cena was able to turn it into must see TV and make it the 2nd best story currently going in WWE.
I don't want to sit here and break down his work from last night, it speaks for itself. But, I will say that within 5 minutes, he told a story, captured the attention of the audience and actually pulled some of the best mic work from Roman ever.
And that my friends is why Cena is literally one of the 4 most important men in the history of professional wrestling.
