Achievements:  Led Woodlawn to the 1968 AAA Louisiana State Championship.  Played college football at the University of Arkansas and earned the 1971 Southwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year.  Selected by the Buffalo Bills in the 1973 NFL Draft.  Played 17 seasons in the NFL.  At one time held the NFL record for consecutive starts by a quarterback with 107.  Led the NFL in touchdown passes in 1975 with 25.  Retired from the NFL in 1990 and came back to play in 1995 in the Canadian Football League at the age of 45.  Over 30,000 yards passing in pro career.  Has coached at Captain Shreve High School, Ruston High School, Louisiana Tech and the University of Arkansas.  Member of the Arkansas and Louisiana Sports Halls of Fame.
