Former LSU Tiger Jarvis Landry is trying to have himself a weekend.

Yesterday the Cleveland Browns wide receiver got to watch his college team, the LSU Tigers, beat Auburn on the road in an incredible finish. Now he gets to play in front of family and friends.

The New Orlenas Saints will welcome the Cleveland Browns to the Superdome this afternoon, giving Landy a little bit of a homecoming for the new (well, newer, Landry was traded to them in the off season) Browns receiver.

Coach Sean Payton says the former LSU wide out brings toughness to the Browns offense. Payton pointed out that he's not just a great receiver, but blocks incredibly well too.

Landry might be given a chance to do even more damage than previously anticipated, as the Browns announced yesterday that they are cutting ties with wide receiver Josh Gordon. The talented Gordon has dealt with substance abuse issues during his NFL career, but seemed to be on the right track to becoming the star that his talent projects. But after some questionable actions over the last few days, the team has decided to part ways with him immediately.

Gordon's absence today could mean more looks, throws, and catches for Landry in NFL homecoming.
