LSU Football Defensive starter Jalen Mills has been suspended indefinitely from the team following an arrest on charges of second degree battery.

The LSU football program had gone more than a year without a major off the field arrest, until junior cornerback Jalen Mills was arrested Wednesday morning on a second degree battery charge.

Mills has been a starter the last two seasons for LSU but he is now indefinitely suspended from the team.

Baton Rouge police allege Mills punched a female in the mouth at his apartment complex. Apparently, the incident took place back in May, but Mills has been out of Baton Rouge until he returned on June 9th to finish summer classes.

Mills was identified by the victim in a police line-up following his arrest.
