It’s Mike VI’s Birthday!

If you are either a diehard or casual LSU Tigers fan, then you are well aware of Mike The Tiger!

It turns out today is Mike's special day!

Today is a special day for a member of the LSU Tigers' family!

It's not a coach, player or broadcaster. But, Mike The Tiger.

LSU's current Mike (Mike VI), was born on July 23, 2005. Mike VI came to Baton Rouge, via Indiana, where he was donated from the Great Cats of Indiana foundation.

Mike VI moved to his new home, north of Tiger Stadium on August 25, 2007.

Mike VI made his debut in Death Valley on Saturday, October 6, 2007 when the Tiger took on the Florida Gators.

When he arrived in Baton Rouge, he only weighed 320 pounds. He's currently at 500!

For his birthday, he received a piece of watermelon topped with whipped cream.
