First things first, I was an absolute newbie when it comes to real Mardi Gras - Shreveport Style.

It was insane!  I had the honor of riding in the Grand Marshall's Float in this year's Krewe Of Centaur Mardi Gras parade.  I have been to Mardi Gras parades in other cities, but I had no idea that the SBC loved it (and us) so much! I had an incredible experience.  The noise rose to loud but acceptable volume, and stayed there for about 4 hours!  I threw beads too fast, and at many points I couldn't throw them fast enough.  Even after riding in the Sping Hill and Minden Parades, I was woefully unprepared for the madness.

Don't get me wrong, it was amazing!  I took as many pictures as I could, but it was not easy juggling a phone, beads, and other Centaur-ian throws.  Check the pics and the video below.

Also, here's the first-person view of the crowd.
