The day was beautiful, and the crowd at Shreve City was huge for Saturday's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

This year's race was titled 'Krewesin' for the Cure,' since all our local Mardi Gras krewes were responsible for specific areas of the race site.

This was my first Race for the Cure experience, and I could not believe the enormous amount of racers pouring out from the starting line, from young kids to elderly folks.

I brought my mom, who usually races with the Fitness Lady group. She couldn't participate this year because of her broken wrist, so we went to support our favorite ladies. Of course, I took tons of pictures to remember this experience, which was pretty overwhelming. Take a look!
