If you ever spent an entire Saturday in front of one of these machines then you'll be happy and a little sad to know that it's the 35th anniversary of the Atari 2600. The first home game console to take over the suburbs!

I grew up in the 80's with an Intellivision in my home, but most of my friends all had an Atari 2600... with the wood paneling on the front of the console, and the joystick with the big red button.  That and a Pac-Man cartridge and that's all you needed to waste an entire weekend attempting to get the high-score!

Knowing that the Atari 2600 is 35 years old, just reminds me that I'm at least that old and that I should probably stop playing video games.  But it is the Atari's birthday and I have many fond memories of playing games on it, so I think I'll celebrate with a little youtube action of some old-school Atari Pac-Man!
