Hank Williams Jr. is no longer featured in the opening of ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Football’  after his comments made Monday morning on ‘Fox and Friends.’

Hank told his side of the story on his official website by writing,  “After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision, by pulling my opening Oct. 3, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.”

I salute Hank Williams Jr. for what he did. He's not afraid to stand up and speak up about what he believes in. What our country needs today is more Americans just like Hank Williams Jr., who have the courage and spunk to speak up and defend what we have left! God Bless America and God Bless Hank Williams Jr.

In a statement ESPN said, “We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr., we appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of ‘Monday Night Football’ has always been about the games and that will continue.”
