Fox and Friends had Hank Williams,  Jr.  on in 2009  to  sing his "Red, White, and Pink Slip Blues" song.   In light of his comments about Obama and subsequent firing by ESPN from Monday Night Football, it seems the perfect song now.

Yesterday,  Hank Jr. was asked about politics on Fox and Friends, and apparently his remarks about politicians were taken as a slam against Obama that went too far...at least too far for ESPN management.  But others are saying he was simply exercising his freedom of speech.

Hank Jr., whose  nickname is  "Bocephus, "  started out in show business at an early age singing the songs of his legendary father,  Hank Williams.  He quickly took on  his own unique  style,  some calling it rebellious,  but after all he was a rebel  born in Shreveport, La.,  in 1949.  In fact,  Cajun Baby is one of his biggest hits.

His catalog of huge hits also includes,  Family Tradition,  All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight,   All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down,  Attitude Adjustment,   If the South Would've Won, and others.

He's made a living with his southern roots and country DNA and his  sometimes wild and crazy lifestyle has become legendary.

It's often reflected in his music.

Here's Hank Jr.  singing "Red, White and Pink Slip Blues"  on Fox and Friends in 2009.
