The long losing streak for the Grambling Tigers is finally over! Grambling got past the Alcorn State Braves 95-80 on Monday.

The Tigers went 709 days, or 45 games, without a victory against a Division I opponent.

Grambling also snapped a 28-game losing streak to SWAC opponents.

A’Torri Shine led all Tigers with 19 points. Terry Rose drilled five three pointers for 18 points and Antawn Scott had a double-double 16 points and 13 rebounds.

The Grambling basketball team is 2-18 on the season, 1-10 in the SWAC.  The Tigers other victory this season came against the NAIA's Central Baptist College in December.
