George Strait Debuts at Number One With ‘Here for a Good Time’

KWKH Congratulates George Strait, who just added another number one record to his long list of chart-topping hits.

Strait’s brand new album, ‘Here for a Good Time,’ debuted at the top of the Billboard country charts this week, going past Jason Aldean and Jake Owen with more than 91,000 records sold.

‘Here for a Good Time,’ is Strait’s 39th studio album, and his eighth straight number one album. The first single, the title track, already sits at number eight on the country singles chart.

A number one album is nothing to sneeze at. Strait should enjoy his lofty perch while he’s got it. Next week, Lady Antebellum‘s ‘Own the Night’ stands a good chance of owning the charts, too.
