The former bookkeeper at Woodlawn Leadership Academy has been arrested for felony theft and unauthorized use of a moveable.

According to the Caddo Sheriff's Office, 52-year-old Bridget Lee of Shreveport is accused of taking cash from students and spirit program sponsors, but never depositing the money into the respective accounts. She's also accused of using funds from other spirit accounts without the knowledge or consent of the spirit sponsor or principal.

The Financial Crimes Task Force was notified following an audit at the school. A more detailed audit done by the Caddo School Board revealed a loss of more than $11,000 from various school accounts. Detectives believe the money was partially used to pay invoices issued to a school organization Lee sponsored.

Lee surrendered on a warrant and was booked into Caddo Correctional Center this morning.
