Former NSU Demon Wins Superbowl

Superbowl 48 is in the books and New Orleans native Peyton Manning did not win another NFL Championship, but a Tyler, Texas native and alum of Northwestern State in Natchitoches did.

Former Demon Jeremy Lane, who plays cornerback and special teams for the Seattle Seahawks is now a World Champion.

Lane was on the kick return team when Percy Harvin returned an 87 yard kickoff for a touchdown. Lane becomes the sixth Demon to go on to win a Superbowl after leaving NSU.
