Florida QB Jeff Driskel Transferring to Louisiana Tech

Louisiana Tech has landed former University of Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel for the 2015 football season. Driskel is a former five star recruit who has struggled while at Florida.

He is listed as a redshirt junior but is eligible to play immediately at Tech since he graduated last summer.

Tech was led in 2014 by quarterback Cody Sokol who was a junior college transfer to the Bulldogs.

Driskel confirmed the news in a statement today.

"I look forward to the upcoming chapter of my life. I have nothing but good things to say about the University of Florida and the football program there... Although things did not play out on the field as I would have liked, I have no regrets on the choice I made to attend UF."
