Infinity War isn’t the only major sequel hitting theaters next year. No, not Ant-Man and the Wasp — think outside the MCU, people! Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is arriving next fall, reuniting Eddie Redmayne’s Newt with Katherine Waterston’s Tina, and Dan Fogler’s Jacob Kowalski with Alison Sudol’s Queenie, and — hopefully — us with that cute little Niffler. More importantly, it’s introducing Jude Law’s Hot Dumbledore to the Harry Potter universe. (And, ugh, fine, that Grindelwald dude will be there, too.)

USA Today’s 2018 movie preview features several new images from next year’s major releases, including the Fantastic Beasts sequel, in which Jude Law transitions from Hot Young Pope to Hot Young Dumbledore:

Johnny Depp is the new “He Who Must Not Be Named” of the Harry Potter universe — in more ways than one, as many fans recently blasted Warner Bros. and author / screenwriter J.K. Rowling for refusing to fire Depp from Fantastic Beasts despite his alleged abuse of ex-wife Amber Heard.

But Rowling and series director David Yates have publicly defended Depp’s casting, and so he shall remain in the sequel(s), as seen in the above pic. The actor plays Gellert Grindelwald, an evil wizard who — according to Harry Potter lore — was vanquished by Dumbledore long ago. (The pair also had something of a romantic entanglement.) Standing near him in the photo is actress Poppy Corby-Tuech, who plays Rosier, a new character and one of Grindelwald’s devout followers.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (spoiler: it’s his entire look) also stars Carmen Ejogo, Zoe Kravitz, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, and Claudia Kim, and hits theaters on November 16, 2018.
