ESPN has pulled an announcer from calling Virginia’s season-opener game because of his name.

Yes, the network has yanked an announcer by the name of Robert Lee, who is an Asian-American, from calling the game because they don’t want to offend any viewers.

According to Clay Travis of “Out Kick The Coverage,” the network has pulled Lee in hopes of not offending anyone in the area after all they have been through with racial tensions.

ESPN will now have Robert Lee announce the Pittsburgh – Youngstown State game instead.

What do you think of this decision by the sports network? Have they over thought this or is is a good idea? Let us know below.
