Donna Douglas, the actress who played Elly May Clampett on the “The Beverly Hillbillies” has settled the lawsuit over a Barbie doll that uses the character’s name, Elly May, and likeness.

The attorney for Douglas says she settled with CBS and toymaker Mattel earlier this week. Donna Douglas’ lawsuit sought at least $75,000 but details of the settlement are confidential.

Douglas played Jed Clampett's daughter, the critter-loving tomboy for all nine seasons of the CBS comedy “The Beverly Hillbillies.”

In court documents, CBS and Mattel said they didn’t need her OK because the network holds exclusive rights to the character. Douglas claimed that they needed her approval for the Barbie.
