Eight Former LSU Tigers Make Opening Day Rosters
The 2018 major league baseball season is underway and there are eight former Tigers on Major League Baseball Active Rosters.
Aaron Nola had a strong start for the Philadelphia Philliles, but Atlanta came back to Philadelphia 8-5.
Alex Bregman got another chance to celebrate the Houston Astros World Series Championship in Texas with a 4-1 win over the Texas Rangers.
Other Tigers include Will Harris joining Bregman in Houston, DJ LeMahieu for the Colorado Rockies, Kevin Gausman for Baltimore, Nick Goody in Cleveland, and Detroit features the combination of JaCoby Jones and Mikie Mahtook.
LeMahieu connected for a solo home run in his first game of the year. This will be his final season before he becomes a free agent.
Jones and Mahtook didn't have a chance to get their season underway, because Detroit's game was postponed due to weather. The Detroit version of the Tigers will be a lot like the LSU version in baseball this year. The team will need to rely on youth to have any chance to win.
