Easter Seals’ Chocolate and Champagne Affair this Saturday at DiamondJacks [VIDEO]
Bernie Betting of Easter Seals stopped in to tell us all about this weekend's event where I'll be your hostess with the mostess! Doors open at 6:30pm and the chocolatiers will start serving their wares at 7pm. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling the Easter Seals office and asking for Bernie at (318) 221-8244. Remember, this is an after dinner type of event, so eat before you come, just make sure not to over indulge so you have plenty of room for all of the decadent chocolate on hand! Dress is cocktail attire.
The event will feature both live and silent auctions with the live auction featuring gorgeous diamond necklace from McCrary's Jewelers and a LSU themed Blue Dog painting! There will be also plenty of music for dancing from Pocket Change to help burn off the calories from all of the amazing chocolate! This year's Lily Award honorees, John and Jane Hubbard, will presented as well.
Now, more than ever, it's important to support agencies like Easter Seals in the face of extreme state wide budget cuts. Last year, Easter Seals Louisiana assisted over 7,000 families with disability needs from young to old, with direct services, transitional housing, campership programs, specific assistance and System Point of Entry. The Easter Seals office in Shreveport alone serves 2,000+ families locally.
Chocolatiers for the event are Ralph & Kacoo's, Cake Bites by Jamee, Wyndham Garden, Brookshire's, Candy Galore & More, Dove Independent Chocolates, The Wooden Spoon, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Inkpressive Promos, Julie Anne's Bakery and Fairy Tale Cakes.
