Ex-New Orleans Saint Darren Sharper has been charged with drugging and raping two women in Los Angeles.

Sharper was arrested in January and subsequently suspended by the NFL Network where he was working as a consultant.

Friday's criminal complaint against Sharper accused him of injecting both women with morphine and a drug similar to Ambien. He is accused of then raping them after they had passed out. The alleged assaults happened separately.

Sharper was released after his arrest in January after posting $200,000 bond. Prosecutors are asking that his bail be raised to $10 million.

The 38-year-old athlete is also under investigation in New Orleans for a sexual assault complaint from last September. He's also suspected of raping women in Nevada and Arizona.
