Well, maybe that run-in with the law during the draft process meant more than we thought.

Earlier this year, former Haughton Buc, and Mississippi State Bulldog, Dak Prescott was being projected as a Second Round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. There were some who foretasted that he could have found a way into the bottom of the First Round.

We were told teams like Arizona, New England, and even Dallas were looking at bringing Prescott into their franchise as the heir apparent to their aging starters.

But a lot of that talk slowed when Prescott was arrested for a DUI in March.

Still, teams were looking at Prescott's impressive SEC career statistics, and his athletic prowess as reasons to invest in him. His projection had now changed to 'Second round at best'. Still, a great spot to be in; teams still looking, the dream is still alive.

But Day 2, Rounds 2 and 3 of the draft have come and gone, and Prescott is still without a team.

How long will he (and we) have to wait on Day 3? Will he survive Round 4, or does his stock continue to fall? Perhaps a team trades up once they realize he's available at this kind of value.

Prescott is not the only QB who has slid this far though. Fellow highly-projected QB Connor Cook (Michigan State) is also still on the board, due to the fact that there have been some very questionable picks made so far (looking at your trade up for a Second Round kicker Tampa Bay).

We've heard for a long time that the Cowboys have interest in Prescott, and that's still in play, but we'll have to wait just a bit longer to see where he lands.
