After the Dallas Cowboys back up quarterback, Kellen Moore, went down in the fourth day of practice with a broken right fibula. The Cowboys were in need of a valuable back up quarterback. Rumors were flying around the NFL that Dallas was looking to sign a veteran QB to back up starter, Tony Romo, after these past two pre-season performances by Prescott that looks unlikely.

Dak Prescott has looked really in tune with the Cowboys starting offense these past two games. Statically Prescott is nearly perfect, 22 for 27 for 338 yards and four TD passes in his first two games wearing the iconic star. Friday night the former Mississippi State star had a game that Cowboy fans should be very excited about, especially if Tony Romo gets hurt...again, Prescott slung the ball well going 12 of 15 for 199 yards, two TDs and a perfect QB rating — plus two rushing TDs.

Of course, this will not start a quarterback controversy in Dallas because Tony Romo is still the clear starter and Dak is fighting for the back up role. The Dak Prescott extravaganza overshadowed Tony Romos return to the gridiron since his collarbone injury last Thanksgiving against the Carolina Panthers. Romo was in the game for 13 plays and went 4 of 5 for 45 yards which he looked solid leading the Cowboys down the field for a touchdown. Lets just say that the way Dak Prescott is playing and the past history of Tony Romo getting hurt, the Cowboys will possibly have a quarterback to keep them from collapsing as they did last year.
