Cole Vosbury, known for his wild beard and wilder success on NBC's hit show 'The Voice,' will perform the National Anthem at this year's AdvoCare V100 Bowl, which takes place on Dec. 31, 2013 at Shreveport's Independence Stadium.

According to AdvoCare V100 Bowl Public and Media Relations Director Stefan Nolet, The Independence Bowl Foundation will also make a donation to the James Burton Foundation in Vosbury’s honor.

The James Burton Foundation “supports music education for those in need through guitar donations and music instruction to schools, hospitals, and community service organizations.”

It's been a wild journey for the Shreveport native, who is currently in the Top 8 on the hugely popular show. He made his big debut in September, performing 'Movin' On Up' in his blind audition. He has successfully advanced in the competition each subsequent week.

Vosbury has gathered massive support from his hometown, including one extremely dedicated fan who has created a Twitter parody account.
