Well after LSU's power pitcher Chris Cotton was drafted in the 14th round by the Houston Astros, Cotton officially signs his name of the dotted line to be a part of the 'Stros.

Finally, a Tweet from Chris Cotton himself confirms his signing:

Cotton finished his senior season at LSU with a record of 4-1, an earned run average of 1.16, and he struck out 47 batters. All while appearing in 37 games for the Tigers.

No one in Shreveport-Bossier is happier for Cotton, than his former high school baseball coach Al Cantwell.

Cantwell, who is the baseball coach for the Byrd Yellow Jackets says, "We could not be more excited and proud for Chris. He has been successful at everything he does in every venue, and I expect nothing but the same as he takes the next step in his career. Over the past two years, I have been saying I hope they make a movie about Chris Cotton's baseball journey! The Astros signed one heck of a competitior!"
