Century Link Center Offering Tickets for NBA Preseason Game with Mavericks-Pelicans

Basketball fans in Bossier City will get a treat on October 23rd when the Dallas Mavericks an New Orleans Pelicans play and NBA Pre-season game at the Century Link Center. Tickets are now on sale!

The Century Link Center's Jake Wood called in Thursday morning to the Tim Fletcher Show to talk about the game coming to Bossier City.  You can hear Jake at 2:00 minutes into the audio clip.

Last season, the Dallas Mavericks made the Western Conference Playoffs for the 13th time in the last 14 seasons led by future Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki.  The Mavs were eliminated in the Opening Round by the eventual champion San Antonio Spurs, pushing the Spurs to an exciting Game 7.

The 2013-2014 season was the first for the New Orleans franchise with their new name and mascot as the Pelicans.  The Pels finished with a 34-48 record but showed much improvement with up and coming young stars like Anthony Davis, Jrue Holliday and Tyreke Evans.
