Aaron Davis, meteorologist at the National Weather Service, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about Saturday's Krewe of Centaur parade and the possibility of inclement weather.

Davis tells KEEL listeners that the heavy rain and wind expected across the ArkLaTex should subside by midday Saturday, with the rest of the day calling for a lingering shower, but partly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.

The annual Centaur parade, kicking off the annual carnival season in the area, is set to roll Saturday (February 22) at 4:30 pm. Centaur Captain Brian Hammons says that if weather permits, as many as 400,000 could be attending this year's event, with more than three million throws for parade goers. And as far as the weather goes, "We're rolling, rain or shine!"
