There are plenty of reasons to celebrate in Shreveport-Bossier and throughtout all of Northwest Louisiana.

Out of the 18 teams vying for a state championship in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome beginning Thursday, five of those teams are from our region!

Currently, the Parkway Panthers, Byrd Yellow Jackets, Calvary Cavaliers, Many Tigers, and Haynesville Golden Tornadoes are all heading to New Orleans this weekend in search for a championship.

Parkway has been the best story so far this postseason. The Panthers, who have been forced to play all of their playoff games on the road this season due to an LHSAA ruling, have been led to this point by future LSU Tiger Brandon Harris.

On Friday evening, Parkway continued their season following a nail biting 28-27 victory over the Covington Lions.

On Saturday evening, the Panthers will have their chance to complete their storied season and win their first championship in school history.

With all of the hype going into Saturday's game, Parkway high school students Brannon Hughes and Marlon Kelly created a anthem to get Parkway players, supporters and all Northwest Louisiana ready to go!
