SEC Media Days came and went pretty quick for the LSU Football program. It seems like the worst any of the rabid SEC media could do to the team is make fun of Coach Ed Orgeron...little do they know they things they wanted to make fun of are the things we love...

You can smell it in the air. College Football season has been put on pre-heat. One of the first major signals, along with the release of Phil Steele's "College Football Preview" is when SEC Media Day rolls around...and guess what starts next week...

It's not yet known exactly what Florida is trying to accomplish, but this week they decided to give LSU a place on their schedule that is generally reserved for "lesser" competition. Which should put LSU Coach Ed Orgeron in a spot where he won't really need "bulletin board material" that week...

Over the last couple of weeks, we've been here praising LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron, and his recruiting abilities. It's something everyone was told is his best trait as a coach. He was piling up the stars on his recruiting class...but then something happened...

Coach Ed Orgeron and the LSU football program may have gotten its biggest flip to date, as the top running back in Louisiana, AJ Carter, has de-committed from UCLA and instead has decided to play for the Tigers. This extra addition adds to a big run over the last couple months, which has positioned LSU as one of the Top 3 recruiting classes in the country for the 2018 class...

When fans of Ed Orgeron were making the case among friends for Coach O getting the LSU Head Coaching gig, they kept coming back to the same thing...he's a great recruiter. Which didn't get much push-back. It also sets up nicely with the fact he has two of the best coordinators in college football on his staff...

Earlier this month, former John Curtis star Willie Allen announced on Twitter that he was leaving the LSU Football program and reopening his recruiting. After that, Allen started posting pictures from various recruiting trips across the country...

LSU didn't break their own record of picks in this year's NFL Draft, but they still sent a strong crop to the NFL through their annual "picking contest". Some of those players, like Leonard Fournette and Tre'Davious White, signed massive contracts, but others are just happy to be in a position to play...

Leonard Fournette just became the highest LSU player drafted in decades when he went #4 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now the NFL needs to start getting ready for another LSU running back to make waves for next year. This is a "way-too-early" move, but also fun at the same time. Looking over an NFL Draft that is less than a week old, and predicting what those players will end up doing next season is fun, but also kind of pointless. But then again, if you put money on the line, it adds some spice to the mix, and you know there are a lot of degenerate gamblers out there looking for this kind of spice..

Say what you want to about Nick Saban, but when his Alabama program wants to stick it to another program, they will. Whether it's on the field or off the field in most cases. We'll probably have to wait until next February to see how this shakes out, but then again, we could get an answer sooner than we expect too...
